Hey guys and gals! We FIND and PROMOTE people's work, we never take credit for things we haven't written, we just love sharing the things that are interesting, but if you don't want your work or pictures shown, please let me know and I'll take it off, we're not trying to harm any one here or infringe on anyone's copyrights, just late night entertainment for my friends and I after a long days of work.

We're not making money off the site, nor are we publishing anything to other places through feedburner claiming that it's our work, just a hobby of finding cool things around the internet, that's all. Sometimes we copy and paste too quickly and a link giving you credit doesn't appear, if that's the case and you DO want your work promoted, we will add in the backlink, we would love to give credit where credit is due!

Please contact me or drop a comment on any posts you guys don't want up and I'll take it off within 24 hours, thanks!

Uncontrolled Anger Can Lead to Abuse - Mind Sets

Uncontrolled anger can lead to grave results. There's the danger of abusing the child physically and verbally.

Many psychologists agree that verbal abuse can be even more dangerous than physical abuse.

Parents must remember that their children have personalities and are not mere items of ownership upon whom any form of discipline can be done without thought of psychological consequences that can emerge in their adult lives.

It is then good to be conscious of uncontrolled anger when dealing with children.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends using what it calls the RETHINK method to bring your feelings under control. RETHINK stands for:

Recognize your feelings.
Empathize with your child.
Think of the situation differently. (Try using humor.)
Hear what your child is saying.
I tegrate your love with your angry thoughts.
Notice your body's reactions to feeling anger and to calming down.
Keep your attention on the present problem.

A study at Colorado State University found that parents who participated in a six-week workshop based on this method became more effective at managing their anger.
