∙ Uono Cocoon

The coffin designer, Andreas Spiegel struck with this revolutionary idea at the fateful time of burying his father, when he took note of the fact that the vast majority of coffins are rectangular, heavy and heavily ornate, which inspired him to the extent that he switched streams from management consultant to a professional coffin maker. The Cocoon is an ovoid shaped box made out of natural materials like soy-based resin and jute-lining and finished with high-gloss varnish, which unlike traditional coffins, will decompose 10-15 years after being placed into the ground. Apart from the selection of premium quality materials, the designer coffin features high-class workmanship too. The aesthetic design is available in fourteen colors along and haute-couture finish with silk-lining over the jute-finish. The environment-friendly coffin comes for a designer price tag of $3,500.

∙ Star Trek Coffin

Well, plenty of Star Trek weddings by now. How about a Star Trek funeral? The Star Trek Coffin comes from the house of Eternal Image and looks to be the perfect one for Star War fan club. The casket features Federation insignia on the inside and handles. The STAR TREK Casket is inspired by the popular “Photon Torpedo” design seen in STAR TREK II: The Wrath of Kahn.

∙ 1958 Chevy Biscayne Coffin

It’s time to take a look at how a Hot-rodder would prefer to rest-in for the final journey! James D. Calabrese, a hot-rod enthusiast in Orange County, was buried in a coffin tricked out in Calabrese’s gunmetal gray casket with chrome and aluminum parts from his beloved 1958 Chevy Biscayne. The coffin features parts of his Chevy complete with license plates and dangling dice. Near the headers, aluminum decals cut in the shape of flames provided the finishing touch.

∙ Alarm Coffin

Just like its name, the alarm coffin helps the dead victim ring an alarm in case he is the victim of wrong judgment and is declared dead. The excellent concept is designed by Vitaly Malyukov, a Russian inventor. The casket is outfitted with alarm buttons for those buried alive by mistake. The victim can push the button to raise the alarm at a control panel in the office of a cemetery caretaker. Though, it won�t be funny sight for sure to see a dead man walking, but who knows who the blessed one to come to life again what if one in millions.
